This is a selection of materials I used for my Substance Designer Course that I put out last month. I thought it would be fun to put together a little slide show of them all developing together.
The course was an enormous undertaking that was a long time coming; it took me several months and wound up being 32 hours of instruction broken down into 13 classes. I really wanted to focus on teaching the software from the ground up, building from fundamentals; exploring different node families, the blending modes and filters all the while having practical examples to test the knowledge on. It's been more well received than I had anticipated and I'm very happy with how it all turned out!
The materials here are those practical examples. I really wanted to focus on having a step-wise introduction to each node group where we talked through how they worked, showed some examples of how they could be used and than immediately put them to use building something useful. I've also attached the learning path here so people have an idea of how the classes broke down!
