Curly Moss - A study in Restraint

Was enjoying working on those tools from the other day and decided to "cobble" something together from them. Something I struggle with is keeping things low-key and simple, I feel I tend to over complicate things on occasion and either go too saturated or too much colour contrasts.

With this I wanted to have something fairly low contrast that reads more like a painting then a physical material. It was a fun exercise to try to practice restraint and not lean in to old habits - I think this guy has a lot of the stuff I like to make in him but also stands out to me as verrry different in final execution.
